Quantitative Developer Intern

As a Quant Developer, you'll be at the intersection of computer science, financial modeling, and systems engineering. You will help build high-performance components for our algorithmic trading stack and work closely with traders, researchers, and fellow engineers to design and deploy:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom backtesting frameworks optimized for massive, high-frequency financial data.
- Build modular components for order execution modeling, signal processing, and PnL tracking.
- Create low-latency, memory-efficient data pipelines to simulate millions of trades and strategies.
- Design order book simulators, portfolio engines, and risk modules for real-time decision-making.
- Transform financial insights and strategies into scalable, production-ready code.
Familiarity With
- Vectorized computation libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Numba, or Polars.
- Custom simulation engines or game engines.
- Tools like Rust, CUDA, Python, or GPU programming.
Experience With
- Tick/minute-level financial data.
- Custom execution environments, real-time engines, or simulators.
Understanding of
- Financial markets, order types, and microstructure.
- Quantitative strategies such as momentum, mean-reversion, and factor investing.
- Risk models, portfolio optimization, and execution algorithms.
Projects or Exposure To
- Backtesting frameworks.
- Time-series modeling.
- Custom alpha signal generation from financial data.
Educational Background
- B.Tech / B.S. / M.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Quant Finance, or related fields.
- Preferred Institutions: IITs, NITs, IIITs, BITS Pilani, ISI, IISc, VIT, or other Tier-1 colleges.
Competitive Programming
- Please include your Codeforces, Leetcode, HackerRank, or ICPC profile in your application.
- Past ICPC participation, top-100 rankings, or equivalent achievements on platforms like Codeforces, LeetCode, or HackerEarth are strongly valued.
- Experience with problem-solving under constraints, creative algorithms, and deep logical thinking.
Must-Have Skills
- Exceptional Mastery of Data Structures & AlgorithmsArrays, Trees, Graphs, Tries, Segment Trees, Hashmaps, Priority Queues, Dynamic Programming.
- Deep understanding of time and space complexity.
Coding Proficiency
- Python for rapid prototyping, data pipelines, and analysis.
- C++ for core low-latency and high-throughput systems.
